Hoża 50 is one of the few historically preserved tenement houses, which is presently one of Warsaw's most beautiful buildings. It was built in 1890 and its restoration was completed in 2004. This 19th-century building combines all of the architectonic trends of that period. The simple and linear balustrades of the stairwell are decorated with wrought brass flowers. Exquisite plant-like motifs can be seen in the house's corridors. Also worthy of note are beautiful cement tiles, which in the early 20th century covered the floors of only the luxury tenement houses. The two-level underground car park and lifts, which do not disturb the prewar style, add some modernity to the building. It is a perfect place not only for history buffs, but also for all those who value style, elegance and modernity.
